Sarah & Daniel | Lyrebird Falls Chapel Wedding

♥ Sarah & Daniel ♥
15/09/2019

How did they meet?
“At University studying our Masters of Primary Teaching”

Proposal story:
“Daniel took me on one of our very first dates when he was still trying to impress me to ‘The Point’ on Albert Park Lake, probably one of the fanciest places I had ever eaten to that day. On the night he said if I ever bring you back here it is because I am going to propose. 18 months later we went back after wanting to have a special dinner, little did I know he was going to have a ring with him. He took me to the tower with the viewing platform of the CBD and proposed to me there.”

Favourite details:
“The pictures come out so beautiful, the garden, the reception, the food!!!”

A word of advice to future couples:
“Make sure you eat!!!!”

Dandenong Ranges Wedding Venue | Jemma & Dylan

♥ Jemma & Dylan ♥
20/09/2019

How did they meet?
“School, year 10 maths class!”

Proposal story:
“After 8 years together I never thought it was going to happen. The weekend before our big Europe trip and visiting family back home in the UK, Dylan managed to drag me out for a walk to the Cranbourne Botanical Gardens. We were up a lookout and after a few minutes I turn around to Dylan down on one knee. I couldn’t believe it and couldn’t stop crying”

Why did they choose Lyrebird Falls?
“I stumbled across Lyrebird many many years ago on Facebook and have been in love with it ever since. Dylan has know it has always been my dream wedding venue. It was the first venue we looked at and from the moment we walked in, we knew it was the one!”

Favourite details:
“Seeing each other at the aisle! Our guests raved about the food – it was so delicious! All staff at lyrebird are amazing and think of absolutely everything. In particular our coordinator Mikaela. We couldn’t have done it without her!”

A word of advice to future couples:
“Don’t sweat the small stuff and enjoy everything as it comes and it’ll be the best day of your life. Take a moment to step back and look at your guests enjoying your special day”

♥ Danielle & Brendan ♥
10/05/2019

We had such a great time celebrating with Danielle & Brendan!!
We would like to thank them both for sharing their story & wedding photos.
Photos by the ever-talented Will Chao!

Proposal Story:
“On Danielle’s 30th Birthday, on a weekend away, Brendan gave me a large box and said it was my birthday present. The box contained an album which he had made, containing photos and memories during our relationship. The final page said it was time to make a new memory… inside the large box was a smaller box containing an engagement ring”.

Why did they choose Lyrebird Falls?
“The scenery is amazing!! We absolutely fell in love with the chapel as soon as we walked in and instantly knew that was where we wanted to be married. Beyond that the staff were so warm and welcoming and helpful throughout the whole planning process”.

Favourite details:
“The surrounds of the venue! Looks stunning all year round! With our wedding being in Autumn the colours of the leaves in the surrounds were stunning!”.

A word of advice to future couples:
“Make time during the night/reception to spend a few moments just as a couple together. We chose to spend a few minutes capturing some night photos, with a sprinkle of rain, we captured some really beautiful photos and had a few moments to enjoy each other. During our reception we were so busy chatting with guests we really treasured those few quite moments together”.

Alyssa & Brody | Lyrebird Falls Wedding

Alyssa & Brody’s review of their wedding day:
“We could not be happier with our choice to have our wedding at Lyrebird Falls. The venue is second to none and the staff are amazing. We had our wedding in February and look back on our wedding day so fondly and will forever be happy with how everything went. The day went so smoothly and this is attributed to Mikaela who looked after us for the day and met with us before the day to ensure our desires were all taken into account. Lyrebird Falls will make sure your wedding day is everything you want it to be. For us, having our dog involved in the wedding was really important and the venue accommodated this and made it possible. We were also happy that we didn’t need to go off site to take photos as Lyrebird Falls provides the most beautiful backdrop! Lastly, but not all, the food at our wedding was plentiful and we received so many compliments about the quality of the food, with many of the guests being so pleasantly surprised. We were praised many times about our choice of venue and we both had most incredible day that we will cherish forever. Thank you!!”

Why did they choose Lyrebird Falls?
“We had both agreed we wanted to get married up in the hills surrounded by the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, as eventually that is where we would love to buy a house and settle down. Lyrebird Falls was everything that we wanted in terms of location – It was nice that we didn’t have to go off site to have photos taken as we ran out of photo time as it is! It just creates the perfect backdrop for photos. As well as this, one of my main reasons for choosing Lyrebird Falls was that all of the inclusions meant there so much less things that I had to organise or worry about which is SO important when wedding planning”.

Favourite details:
“I think the thing that we are most happy with was that we decided to have our fur baby, Bane involved in the wedding. We were a bit worried he wouldn’t behave but we would not have had it any other way. He even came up to us during the ceremony when the Celebrant mentioned his name – He must have thought it was his queue!”

A word of advice to future couples:
“Pre arrange a time for you and your husband/wife to meet during the night and take a quiet moment for just the two of you. I feel like I hardly saw my husband during the reception as there is so much going on and so many people to talk to”
